Beard oil helps moisturize facial hair and the skin beneath. It’s a must for those trying to grow and maintain healthy facial hair. A good beard oil will transform a dull beard into an amazing work of art!

Beard oil will cleanse and moisturize and at the same time help balance your body’s natural oils. This will lead to soft, healthy skin and hair. As an added bonus, the oil is great to use at the dry ends of your head hair too.

  • Sweet Almond Oil
  • Argan Oil
  • Sweet Orange Essential Oil
  • Spearmint Essential Oil
  • Tea Tree Essential Oil
  • Glass bowl
  • Measuring spoons
  • 1 ounce Amber Glass Bottle With Dropper

Carrier Oils:

A high-quality beard oil is typically made up of two distinct ingredients, a carrier oil or blend of carrier oils and an essential oil or blend of essential oils.

For the carrier oil I chose to use Argan oil and sweet almond oil for my husband’s specific skin needs.

Argan oil is non-greasy and easily absorbs into the skin. It’s high in fatty acids which help restore the balance of natural oils in the skin. It is also rich in Vitamin E which stimulates hair growth and helps to repair and prevent split ends.

Sweet almond oil is light and hypoallergenic which makes it gentle on the skin. It softens and conditions hair and skin and helps to replace the protective coating at the shaft of each hair which will prevent split ends. Almond oil is rich in magnesium, zinc, and calcium.

Add one part almond oil and one part argan oil.

Use 25-35 drops of essential oil for scent. You can use the oils in any combination as you desire.

I used a combination of peppermint, sweet orange, and tea tree. I did go light on the tea tree because it’s a strong oil.

Tea tree oil is a natural antiseptic and anti-inflammatory. It’s perfect for those who are prone to acne or get ingrown hairs.

Peppermint leaves a stimulating sensation on the skin and hair and can help speed up hair growth.

Sweet orange is also antiseptic and anti-inflammatory. It also increases the skin’s ability to absorb vitamin C, aids in collagen production, and blood flow.

And, best of all, all three oils smell amazing blended together.

How To Use:

For best results, apply the beard oil to a freshly washed, toweled dried beard.

Drop 3-5 drops into one hand. Longer beards will require more drops – only increase the amount by one drop at a time as a little goes a long way. Rub hands together and then rub the oil all over the beard, massaging the oil down into the beard, all the way into the skin.
